On today’s Politics & Prose podcast, Gail sits down with Deborah Johnson, an author, podcast and show host, parent advocate, and friend.

In this episode, Gail chats with Deborah about her passion for letter-writing and has grown into a platform of encouraging others to do the same. Additionally, they talk about moving from sending a text message or posting to social media to handwriting a card including writing your signature. Bio

Deborah H. Johnson, AKA “DJ the Dream Coach” is an accomplished educator, author, professional coach, inspirational speaker, and storyteller.

DJ has been writing since she was four years old. She developed a passion for letter-writing that morphed into a platform to encourage others to connect with themselves and others through letter writing. She is launching Write from the Heart podcast in January 2023.

Deborah is a parent advocate with a passion for educating parents on creating a plan for a child’s success. She is the president of Goal Minded, LLC, an organization that provides personal coaching to help parents, their children and others who desire to develop a personal plan for their own success. She is the founder of The Jay Richardson Foundation whose mission is to breathe life into “Team Family”.  She is also the founder of The Football Parents Association at Ohio State and is the Midwest Regional Coordinator for the Professional Football Players Mothers Association.

Deborah is an ordained minister and writes a family and sports column in Ready Magazine and is the co-host of News in Motion show. Deborah is the author of “Coaching the Dream: A Parent’s Guide” that is helping parents work with their children to achieve their goals and “You Gotta to Go to Bed with Waking Up on Your Mind, and other sayings from mom” that will be release this spring.   She has a B.A. in French from The Ohio State University and a Master’s in Human Services Management from Brandeis University. She has a passion for teaching and was an adjunct professor at Columbus State Community College, The Ohio State University and Franklin University. She is a certified life/career coach and biblical breakthrough counselor.

She is the wife of Glen Johnson and mom of three sons, Jay Richardson, Joshua Richardson, and Joshua Johnson.
