Urgent Plea for Prayer

This is our seventh day of our 31-day commitment on the Urgent Plea for Prayer journey. Let’s talk about the names of God.
The first six days have been what I will call a time of ‘building.’ Now that we are at Day 7, let’s deal with our lack of intimacy with God in order to know Him and the beauty of His holiness. We read in 1 Corinthians 1:2 the following, “To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours….”

It’s one thing to pray; however, it is life altering to pray to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There is something peaceful about spending time with Jesus. It is about a deeper rela- tionship and intimacy. It is about understanding His silence as pure intimacy.
Know Him. Google “Names of God” and take a name each day the rest of this month and get to know Christ in a more intimate way. Here are few names to get you started:
El Shaddai ~ The All-Sufficient One
El Elyon ~ The Most High God
Jehovah-Nissi ~ The Lord My Banner
Elohim ~ The Creator
Jehovah-Shalom ~ The Lord My Peace Jehovah-Jireh ~ The Lord My Provider Jehovah-Raah ~ The Lord Is My Shepherd Jehovah-Shammah ~ The Lord Is There Jehovah-Tsidkenu ~ The Lord Our Righteousness Adonai ~ Lord, Master
El Roi ~ The God Who Sees Yahweh ~ Lord (Jehovah).
