Urgent Plea for Prayer

Are you paying attention?

Look around you.

What’s going on?

God is speaking.

Are you obeying?

Ezekiel 33:1-20 gives us a clear picture. We have been called to pray. Actually we have been called to watch and pray. Every day we are witnessing signs, but we have not acted on what we are seeing. God has given us the authority. The same authority of Jesus. (Refer back to Day 17 for more information on authority.)

We have a choice to make. Let’s make this personal. YOU have a choice to make. Are you going to stay in your prayer closet and continue to pray, or will you act on what God is revealing to you during your time of prayer?

With intercessory prayer we are called to warn others. Let’s look closely at Ezekiel 33.

“The word of the Lord came to me: ‘Son of man, speak to your people and say to them: “When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman, and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people, then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not heed the warning and the sword comes and takes their life, their blood will be on their own head” ” (Ezekiel 33:1-4).

Ask God to allow you to see supernaturally. Pay attention to everything around you. Ask God, “Lord, what are you speaking?” then be still and wait for Him to answer. Often we are in such a hurry that we do not take the time to be still and hear. God is always speaking through nature, a whisper, a prompting, a conversation, and other avenues. I speak to your spirit today…PAY ATTENTION.
