In seeking God, especially when there is urgency, I often hear God reminding me of our authority we have in Him. The question is, “Do we utilize our authority as God calls us to? Or have we abused our authority?”

Below I have listed Scriptures and have shared words I believe we need to hold close to our hearts in seasons of urgency. Each of us should be encouraged to read the Bible, study, and grow an intimate relationship with Christ. Additionally, we should spend time in God’s presence and exercise the authority we have been given. Exercising our authority, I believe, will transform nations.

I believe as Scripture tell us, “If my people, who are called by name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14). We will begin to see healing, signs, and wonders that were described when Jesus was fully human. But first, we must humble ourselves, and pray.

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father (John 14:12).

We are in a season of experiencing floods, endless murders, lack, loss, division, hate, and so much more. Could it be that God is waiting on you and me to fully live into what He has called us to? It’s time to truly humble, pray, seek, turn … then He will hear, forgive, and heal. His eyes will be open and His ears attentive to the prayers we offer. It’s not simply praying. There’s something we must do. Authority is ours. God desires to have us partner with Him.
